Corporate Apparel Unlimited adds new Web site for work apparel to its platform of sportswear and corporate casualwear sites

CEO of Corporate Apparel Unlimited [CAU], Phil Beukema, recently announced the launch of the company's newest Web site, Workwear USA, its third e-commerce site focusing on the wholesale apparel market. With this move, Beukema says, the company has established the most extensive platform of e-commerce apparel sites on the Internet, covering a broad spectrum of the wholesale apparel field. "We did some pretty extensive market research," says Beukema, "and discovered there was an opportunity to extend our already-outstanding record of services to the field of workwear by offering - all in one place - a full service center for those needing work apparel of nearly any kind."

Workwear USA is definitely a unique Web site, with an online catalog of nearly 300 products, and another 1,000-plus available "off-line." Available are everything from work shirts to overalls to Duck jackets to aprons. Major brands featured on-site include Dickies, Augusta, Garment Corporation of America [GCA], U.S. Aprons, Augusta, and TriMountain.

"We've tried to make the site distinctive in appearance, easy-to-shop, a place for nearly everyone to find something of interest, and even an enjoyable experience," according to Beukema. "One of the special collections on site, for instance, is our Big and Tall shops," he stated. "We have not just one, but two - Big and Tall Shirts, and Big and Tall Jackets - all in addition to the full line of regular sized garments. We're fairly certain that this is the most extensive collection of Big-Tall work apparel to be found on the Net."

Clients that the new Web site will appeal to include a broad array of resellers, business and industrial firms [who are seeking to purchase workwear uniforms rather than rent them], and a number of embroidery and screen printing firms. While many of its clients purchase workwear garments "blank" - without any logo decoration - "our firm also provides an exceptional array of custom logo work including screen printing, embroidery, digitizing, and graphic design, for those who don't have local or immediate access to this service," stated Beukema.

Corporate Apparel has already established a strong market presence in wholesale apparel through its sites, www.CAWholesale.com [the short version of "Corporate Apparel Wholesale"] and www.TeamwearUSA.com. The former was launched in mid-2001, and the latter in April of 2002. Both of these are fully e-commerce enabled, and combined they offer more than 1,000 garments spanning everything from sweatshirts to polo shirts to corporate jackets to warmup - and much more.

Operating out of Luxemburg, Wisconsin, just outside Green Bay, the company has a staff of CSR's - customer service representatives - "the cream of the crop," according to Beukema. He went on to state that "they are trained in every aspect of customer service, so that they can not only 'sell' a garment order but, more than that, they can help out a customer with product selection, with research on product options, with sourcing, and with making the detailed decisions often involved in preparing the "logo" to be used in decorating the denim shirts, jackets or whatever the client is ordering." Beukema is especially proud of the fact that the team of CRS and others in customer service have helped build a reputation, with over 5,000 clients nationally and in Canada, of what he calls "impeccable service." "Not a day goes by," he states, "that we don't hear from clients about their appreciation for our rapid response, for a beautiful set of garments, or for the tremendous quality and courtesy of service. This is what is building this business, not the 'sale' of garments."

Formed in the year 2000, Corporate Apparel's growth has doubled nearly every quarter, from one year to the next. At this point, according to Beukema, "we are up nearly 100% from where we were last year at this time. Sales for 2003 are expected to top $2.5 million.
