“The Denim” – From Shirts to Jackets to Jeans to Caps! “Denim” has a proud 500-year history, dating back to the late 16th Century in up to the present time. One of the worlds oldest fabrics – over the past millennium anyway – denim started as a serge [twilled] fabric made at least partly of wool, and in just one color, blue [from the indigo dye used in early days for dyeing the warp yarn needed to produce the denim twill weave]. Denim shirts, perhaps the dominant denim apparel today, come in an amazing variety of rich colors and soft [or faded or distressed] tones. Whether short sleeve or long, you can wear a denim shirt in a soft yellow, a deep burgundy, a dark indigo blue, black, and even white – among other colors. Denim jackets tend to come in the standard denim blue, as do the denim caps and jeans [although black denim jeans are popular as well]. Prominent brands of denim shirts and jeans include Rivers End, Dickies, Lee, TriMountain, Wrangler and Dunbrooke. These brands are known for quality, and pricing is quite competitive as well. Corporate Apparel Unlimited, Inc. and its Denim wear department are proud to show of what is most likely the most extensive collection of denim product – in a diversity of great apparel brands – to be found on the Web today. |
